We offer these divisions: ALL AGES BASED ON 2023 LEAGUE AGES as of MAY 1 2023
- 8U (Ages 6+ to 8 and under, can't turn 9 before May 1, 2023, Coach Pitch). Games on Tuesday and Thursday
- 10U (Ages 10 and under, can't turn 11 before May 1, 2023) Mustang/ Minors. Games on Tuesday and Thursday
- 12U (Ages 12 and under, can't turn 13 before May 1, 2023, 70-foot baseball PONY Rules. Games on Monday and Wednesday)
- 13U/14U/15U (May be combined). Varies
Note advanced 10-year-olds may play in the 12U division and advanced 8-year-olds in the 10U division.
NOTE IF NOT ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS IN ANY PARTICULAR DIVISION REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED
Coaches can be regular season managers, coaches, assistant coaches or moms and dads willing to step up and take a team full of eager kids wanting to get more baseball in before our long cold winter sets in!!!! COACHES NEEDED!!
This is an educational/developmental season that will give your player more time on the field to develop their skills.
Note highly advanced 10 year olds may play in the 12U division and advanced 8 year olds in the 10U division.
Jerseys and hats are provided by the third ot fourth week of August.
Season Format
Team and or individual registrations will be accepted. The draft process may be implemented.
Play will start the 2nd week of August and run approximately 6-7 weeks or until the weather changes. We will play two games per week and kids are expected to try numerous different positions. We will have a 1.5-hour curfew on CP games and a 2-hour curfew on 10U games and 12U during the week after school starts. GAMES WILL END AT CURFEW TIME. Game start times will be 6:00 PM in August and 5:30 PM starting Sept 5. All games will be played Monday through Thursday with the exception of mid-September when we may move some games to the weekend.
If there are enough teams in the 12U and or 10U divisions there may be a weekend fall tournament.
These are the basic rules for fall ball.
Remember we play by PONY rules so for both 10U and 12U you can lead off and steal and the dropped third-strike rule is in effect. In order for the kids to learn the proper technique for holding runners close balks should be called.
Other than these modified rules we play by standard rules outlined in the current MLB rulebook
- No new inning after 2H for 10U and 12U and 2:15 for Older Divisions (Keep the games to these times going over 5 min is ok but not 15 or 20)
- BE READY TO PLAY AT GAME TIME
- Games will start at the scheduled times
- Games are 7 innings (The home team gets the last bat)
- The pitchers are allowed 2 innings per game...YOU CAN RE-ENTER A PITCHER IF NECESSARY...
- Equal playtime for all.....We want the kids to enjoy the game
- Give kids the chance to play a variety of positions
- If two outs and the pitcher and or catcher are on base then a runner must run for them (Speed UpRule)
- Continuous Batting order no one sits more than two innings.
- For the 10U division, we may utilize the soft toss rule after 3 consecutive walks. This is at the coach's discretion.
- Open substitution
- The score shouldn't be a factor so no 10-run rule
- If a team is more than 5 runs ahead or batted through the order get the out any way you can...RUNDOWNS ETC.....IT'S NO FUN FOR EITHER TEAM TO JUST DO A MERRY GO ROUND.....
- If two teams are equal and competitive manage the game accordingly.....It's up to you as managers to make this enjoyable for the kids.
- We all get along....no disagreements
- If no umpire then coaches call balls and strikes from behind the hill.
- KEEP THE GAME MOVING>>>NO LONG DELAYS BETWEEN INNINGS
